Held annually at the Point South Marina in Bay Point, the Billfish Open is one of the most elite tournaments on the Northern Gulf Coast. Tournament Rules
A set of rules guides the Bay Point Billfish Open to ensure fair, sportsman-like competition and environmental consideration. Each boat may include four anglers; the boats should be entered and have the fee paid beforehand. Each ship will launch at the same time. Every fish caught during competition hours will be weighed at the weigh center, and blue marlin fish must meet a certain length to be considered. More rules will be discussed at the Captain’s meeting before the competition.
